Hi, it’s been a busy year. Catch up on the Annual Meeting held in July here.
Eight Shafts: Beyond the Beginning is only published in paper. No downloadable versions of the book have been created, sponsored or authorized by Complex Weavers. Any offer of a digital version of the book should be disregarded and viewed with great suspicion.
Complex Weavers Seminars 2022 is a wrap. So much ground was broken here, new friendships made, and plans hatched for new exploration. Just as we plan the next warp as we finish the weaving currently on the loom, so too, we turn our eyes to Complexity and Seminars for 2024. The experience for attendees and those who volunteer to organize and produce the event is rich and rewarding. Please consider taking part and look for those calls to engage in the coming months.
Sometimes the challenge of new things can be a little rough. To all of you who had hoped to attend the CW Seminars Closing Ceremony online, but were unable to attend or have access as expected, we apologize. In this presentation, we were trying several new-to-us things simultaneously, every one of which was technically complicated. As you may know, the result was not as successful as we’d hoped. We are sorry for any disappointment this may have caused, but hope you will forgive and join us in our future endeavors.
The 40th Anniversary Books – Eight Shafts: Beyond the Beginning, Personal Approaches to Design, Edited by Laurie Autio hit the convention floor tonight. Participants lined up in force to get their copy. Weavers included in the book were signing copies, pages were flipping and plans for future projects were dancing in quite a few heads. Thanks to vendors who set up the marketplace, folks who donated items for silent auction and those who donated items for the drawing.
Tomorrow is the last day of Seminars. Check back for tomorrow’s update.
COVID, rain and travel delays did not keep our intrepid weaving community from celebrating the work accepted into Complexity. (See the digital catalog here.)
There were more weaver’s handshakes than traditional ones this year but we really enjoyed being together and sharing the inspirational work exhibited. Here are a few pics of the event. If you missed it, we missed you. Stay tuned.
