Due to circumstances beyond our control, the October 2020 issue of the Complex Weavers Journal has been delayed. It is currently in progress, and will be on its way to members as soon as possible. The February 2021 issue will follow soon afterwards. By the time of the June 2021 issue, we expect to be back to normal. Logged-in members can read a full update from Ruth MacGregor, our CWJ editor, here.

The June 2020 issue of the Complex Weavers Journal is now available for logged-in members to view and download. For the first time, it is available in two versions.
The usual format has a download-friendly file size, and now there is also a “plus” size. The file is larger but the resolution higher, so you can zoom in to see the photos more clearly. We hope this will provide an appropriate option for every internet connection.
Do let us know how you get on with the new options.
In this unusual year, we are adopting an alternative way to hold our Annual General Meeting. Instead of gathering personally at Seminars, we will be meeting virtually on July 22, 2020 via Zoom Webinar.
The Webinar will go live at 10 AM PST (Seattle time). We expect the meeting to last 90 minutes or less. (For reference: 10am Seattle = 1pm New York = 6pm London = 7pm Amsterdam = 3am July 23 Sydney)
In the meeting, we will present an overview of the past year, talk a little about what is coming up and install our new officers: President-elect Cathy McCarthy, and First Vice President-elect Eileen Driscoll. We will hear reports from other directors and committee chairs. It’s a good chance to “meet” the dedicated volunteers who make up the CW Board and get to know our organization a little better.
We have an added bonus to the meeting. Philis Alvic will give us a short talk about the early 20th century weaving centers in the Appalachian Mountains.
So that we can know how many will be attending, we ask you to let us know in advance if you would like to join the meeting. Members should log in and sign up here no later than June 20, 2020.
