- Assists the President as needed
- Coordinates the Area Liaisons
- Attends quarterly and annual Board Meetings (which usually take place online or via Zoom)
It is a fun job as you get to know and work with many people worldwide.
If you can help, or would like further information, please contact Sue Mansfield, chair of the Nominating Committee via our online contact form.
In this unusual year, we are adopting an alternative way to hold our Annual General Meeting. Instead of gathering personally at Seminars, we will be meeting virtually on July 22, 2020 via Zoom Webinar.
The Webinar will go live at 10 AM PST (Seattle time). We expect the meeting to last 90 minutes or less. (For reference: 10am Seattle = 1pm New York = 6pm London = 7pm Amsterdam = 3am July 23 Sydney)
In the meeting, we will present an overview of the past year, talk a little about what is coming up and install our new officers: President-elect Cathy McCarthy, and First Vice President-elect Eileen Driscoll. We will hear reports from other directors and committee chairs. It’s a good chance to “meet” the dedicated volunteers who make up the CW Board and get to know our organization a little better.
We have an added bonus to the meeting. Philis Alvic will give us a short talk about the early 20th century weaving centers in the Appalachian Mountains.
So that we can know how many will be attending, we ask you to let us know in advance if you would like to join the meeting. Members should log in and sign up here no later than June 20, 2020.
The 2018 Complex Weavers Election to fill the positions of President and 1st Vice President is now open! Electronic ballots have been emailed to all members and voting remains open until April 19, 2018. If you haven’t received your ballot, please contact the Membership Chair, Amy Norris, on email@example.com.
