Attendees may print out and bring handouts for registered seminars. Weavers Handshake Information
Requirements
- Participation in the Weavers Handshake is optional. Additional requirements and considerations follow:
Leader agrees to facilitate the session recording by engaging in the planning process and arriving early to the classroom for sound and technology checks. Session recording may include video capture, audio capture and screen capture, still images of samples and other appropriate means to, as much as possible, capture the in-person experience for online, on-demand viewing. CW will provide technical capture equipment and personnel. - Leader will confirm that their chosen presentation device is compatible with video capture in advance of the session so that the appropriate cables and connectors can be available for use.
- Pointing devices (lasers, etc.) that are not captured may not be used to limit the amount of post-production necessary to create clarity for Weavers Handshake participants.
- Still images of samples presented in person must be submitted to enhance the Weavers Handshake experience.
- Leader agrees to work with a CW-provided assistant who will facilitate the session by confirming tech is working, repeating audience questions so that the question and answer can be heard and understood, and other activities that minimize the impact to in-person attendees while preserving the experience for Weavers Handshake participants.
- Leader agrees to review and approve the post-produced content in a timely manner prior to publishing on the Weavers Handshake. This may include review of subtitles, chapter titles and additional content such as sample images, handouts, etc. CW agrees to make reasonable corrections to best capture the session intent.
Remuneration
Proceeds for Weavers Handshake are shared, after production costs, 50% for Instructors, 50% for CW. If sales do not cover production costs, there will be no additional compensation for instructors and all costs, for both production and promotion, will be carried by CW. For comparison and with no guarantee, in 2024, the instructor share exceeded the in-person Seminars remuneration.
