The Showcase Event is an opportunity to display and share your wall hangings, table linens, scarves, bands, and other items you have woven. The Showcase is an informal, non-juried event with each item submitted carefully displayed using the available display equipment. Each CW Seminars attendee may submit one or two items. The Showcase will be open throughout Seminars, and you must be pick up all your items at the conclusion of the event. When you check-in at Seminars, you’ll be told when and where to drop off your item(s).
Wall pieces: No large wall hangings, please. Although we cannot hang items on the walls, please be sure that your wall piece(s) are ready for hanging in case we are able to hang them on screens.
Clothing and accessories: We assume that most garments will be shown in the Fashion Show. Although there are no mannequins, we will do our best to display garments not shown in the Fashion show. (You are welcome to provide your own mannequin.) We do anticipate a display of colorful, shimmering, and supple handwoven scarves, cowls, and shawls.
Other items: This is a wonderful opportunity to share your table linens, towels, bands, and more.
In order to plan for adequate display space, please send a copy of your entry form(s) to the Showcase team by July 1, 2020. Also, if you can provide some display equipment, please let us know.
