The primary benefit of this group is the opporunity for contact and networking with other double harness weavers. The group offers support, encouragement and sharing of information for anyone curious about, or considering acquisition of, a drawloom. Group members own a wide variety of drawlooms and have adapted them in a variety of ways.

Newsletters are published in Feb., May, Aug., and Nov. All dues expire in November; the annual membership roster lists membership expiry dates. Group dues may be prepaid for two or more years and should be sent to the Chair.

Members are encouraged to contribute news of their double harness weaving for the newsletters, including information, drafts, photos, and/or woven samples. Questions about weaving and using double harness looms are always welcome. No drawloom experience is required, nor is ownership of a drawloom. Questions or contributions for newsletters may be sent to the Chair by email (or contact the chair for the postal address.

In addition to the quarterly newsletter, we have an online Yahoo group available to DHSG/CW members where they can ask questions, get advice, or share what they are weaving. Members wishing to participate in the online group should contact the Chair, and an email invitation will be sent.

The group is beginning work on a monograph, "Double Harness 101", a compilation of information on basic double harness weaving for the beginning drawloom weaver. Membership dues will be used toward publication costs of the monograph, and any special mailings.
