May 1999: Danish Design 1, Jette Vandermeiden
Vandermeiden damask tablecloth Jette Vandermeiden entered two lovely damask tablecloths at Ontario Handweavers and Spinners (OHS) juried show in May 1999.

The jury chose the more traditional Danish Design 1 to receive the CW award. The tablecloth is a 6 shaft satin woven on a 50 pattern shaft Oxaback Kombi drawloom.
The detail shows the lustrous effect of the white on white contrasted against the boldly patterned dark stipes.
