The fibers are Tencel and sewing thread, using hand-dyed Indigo; Space-dyed multi purples/blues; and Purple Sage. It was woven on 8 harnesses in a 4-block rep weave sett at 24 epi. -

Design warp (top warp) - 1/25 silk noil, antique gold
Ground weft - 1/25 silk noil, turquoise
Design weft - purchased, hand painted 2/28 silk and cashmere
30 EPI per surface = 60 EPI, 15 dent reed, sley at 4 per dent
I have been playing with weaving in three dimensions using 2 beams with braking systems. Through experience and a "mistake", 1 discovered a method, using loom control, of creating shirring and/or gathering of horizontal, double woven folds." -
