Join fellow conference attendees for a museum crawl. A bus will leave the 4-H Center at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday and drop people at requested museums on the National Mall. Admission to most museums on the Mall is free.
At 2:30 p.m., the bus will collect you and continue to the Textile Museum. There, we will hear Ann Rowe, a former curator of the museum and currently Research Associate for the Western Hemisphere, lecture on her research concerning the use of complementary warps in Ecuador.
Following the lecture we hope to offer a light reception and tour the current exhibition Dragons, Nagas and Creatures of the Deep. Lee Talbot, Curator for the Eastern Hemisphere Collections and curator of the dragon exhibition, will conduct tours of the exhibition. Admission to the Textile Museum is free, with a suggested contribution at the door.
The bus will return to the 4-H Center following the events at the Textile Museum, around 5:00 pm.
Arrangements for housing Saturday and Sunday nights following the close of Seminars must be made on an individual basis directly with the 4-H Center. The Center has graciously extended our lodging prices.
For Saturday & Sunday 4-H housing contact:
Shirley Diaz or Fazal Ohab at (301) 961-2801
If you plan on departing Sunday evening, the Center will store your luggage for the day.
